"The Power", Steel, ceramic, concrete, water, microphone, speakers, 91½ x 39½ x 39½
|
A ceramic vessel mounted on a metal construction carries a water tank with a drop nozzle. A ceramic block, looking like a stone, stands in a basin. Each second, a water drop is falling down from the tank into a little hole, which is located in the center of the block. Inside the cube a microphone reinforces the drop impact through loudspeakers. A constant, monotone beat backgrounds the whole exhibition scene, reminding us of a hart beat or a clock tic tack, a symbol of the running time.
